Ebony performer Monica Foster is best known to porn viewers as “Claire” in the June 2009 adult blockbuster Not the Cosbys XXX, which happened to be her first feature role. It’s been a long and somewhat unusual road to porn for this luscious, 5’6” lady with the natural 34C bust.
Monica was born in Washington State to an art and music major mother, and an engineer father. She grew up near Houston, Texas. Though both artistic and athletic, Monica loved the logic of computer programming, although she admits she felt like a square peg trying to fit in a round hole. Meanwhile, Monica also participated in cheerleading, the dance and track teams, and student council. She excelled at these things, but when Monica moved to South Florida with her mother and sister in 1993, she lost interest in school. She got her GED at age 18 and enrolled in Florida Atlantic University for computer science. After a year, she realized her inner artist and entrepreneur wanted out. She dropped out and started a multimedia design firm. Monica had to take a day job as a copy and fax machine repair technician, but she found herself uninspired and too tired to work on her own business.
The turning point came when she was sent to fix a fax machine at a strip club. She’d never been inside one before and hadn’t thought of being a stripper, but she quit the 9-to-5 job the next day and after a week of online research about the lifestyle of exotic dancers, Monica was back at the same strip club, only this time as one of the performers. She chose the stage name “Katrina” but the DJ decided “Monica” suited her better. Her cheerleading and dance background made her a natural and she discovered a latent exhibitionist streak.
Even though Monica enjoyed the money, schedule, and her bond with the other dancers (some of whom she would later work with as clients), she found the propositions and the drug use in the scene a drawback. After a few months, she temporarily went to work in tech support. Again the tedium and schedule left her dissatisfied, but it wasn’t long before she decided to take “Monica” online. She returned to stripping and bartending on and off until mid-2006, while working on www.MonicaF.com. Monica had given herself the “Foster” surname when customers hassled her for her “real name.” She rigged an automatic interval-timer to her camera and handled all the creative elements (sets, wardrobe, hair and makeup, etc.). Without access to a studio, she simply did it herself at home, as she does to this day. In time, her site brought in enough money to support her.
Monica’s online popularity has grown steadily, also thanks to features in publications, a video game, and Internet broadcasts. The WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) invited her to the 2005 Diva Search in Los Angeles. She didn’t win, but the trip to L.A. gave her direction in her modeling, hosting, photography and artistic endeavors. Monica even got a gig with DT Wrestling out of it.
In March 2008, Monica decided to get into the world of adult video. By May 2009 she had about 35 scenes under her belt, working with studios such as X-Play, West Coast Video, Naughty America, David Christopher (Pussyman), Jim Powers, Sticky Video, Kick Ass Video, Vouyer Media, Silver Sinema, and Jules Jordan Productions.
Never content to rest on her laurels, Monica Foster is already planning her next big move. You’re going to love watching what she does next!
